Things found in Norton's room.
[ Anyone deciding to loot Norton's room will stumble upon treasure!
... Well, some treasure. He did squirrel away some gold and jewels from the thieves den in a vanity drawer, and the drawer above that is where he kept Yuri's earrings. Perfectly perserved, just as he recieved them. In the closet are that outfit he wore for the Cinderella thing, the slippers he got from that, and the weird... Sattelite... Gun. Huh.
There's also a couple of sealed letters on the desk, on top of the stationary. They all bear the names of those he is writing to and a simple message:
Do not open unless I am dead.

A part of me wants to say it's too late for me, but if the dead are sending us letters every week then I think I can still try to help you escape from the other side. I don't know how much I'd be able to tell you through the letters, but I'll try to make things as clear as possible. I'd even try to damage the edge of my note to let you all know it's me, but don't count on that making through to the other side.
I know it's tough when this place is trying to make us turn against each other, but try to stay strong. We'll find a way out of this hellhole, one way or another.

Shame I can't really do that through a letter. If you're able to fetch it off my body and it's still in good condition, you're welcome to keep the compass from my belt. In case you don't know what that is, it's a round metal device that kind of looks like a clock's face. The arrow's magnetized, so if you hold it flat and level the red side should always point north. Even if you can't recover that, I also kept the slippers from the Cinderella thing if you already broke yours.
I think I also better come clean in case I never get the chance to do it in person... For the longest time, I thought what you found was a list of people who were going to work against us. But after getting to know some of the folks on that list and listening to Edelgard's story about the monster, I'm beginning to have second thoughts. Sorry about suspecting your childhood friend for a hot second there... I'd still keep an eye on the people on that list, but not for the same reasons I once had.
Like I said in the letter to everyone, I'll try to relay as much as I'm allowed. If I run into your friend, I'll tell him you miss him. Try to stay strong for us, okay?

You also deserve more of an explanation since we never figured out exactly what C-ta and Yor's motives were. You know how I used to be a miner? Well, they don't pay too much for all the hard work miners do. I didn't want to end up like the homeless old men wasting away in hospice, but I realized I'm never climbing out of that hellhole if I don't have the money to do so.
Yeah, that was my wish. Money to live a comfortable life on. It's a stupid wish, now that I think of it. After hearing Edelgard's story about the monster, I'm even starting to feel guilty for having it. I still need the money, but I don't think I would kill just for that.
I should also explain that Golden Cave thing if I started yelling about that. I joined the team in that mine thinking I would actually find gold in there. I don't think I ever found gold, but the longer we stayed down there the more we kept thinking about the riches we might find, to the point that we were willing to do anything to get at them. I got the brilliant idea to sneak in explosives to speed things up.
Turns out a meteorite struck the mine and made it structurally unstable. The whole damn mine collapsed. I was the only one who made it out alive.
I've only told one other person this story. I was hoping to take it to my grave, but that wouldn't be right in a situation like this. I'll try to make it up to you if there is a chance on the other side, but I'm sure there's only so much I can do from there. Try to keep your head and find a way out. I'm sure Riku would want you to escape if nothing else.
